Development history

There have always been people who report on awareness that cannot be described in words and that
is all-encompassing. Indeed herein also lies the reason for enlightenment to be seen as something desirable. It is more appropriate to speak of natural consciousness, awareness of being, which – superimposed by thinking and feeling – is easy to overlook.

Tracks of enlightenment processes can be traced back to ancient times. Under special conditions, a “light experience” leads to profound changes in attitude and thus to a total reorientation of the organism.

This prompted Dr. Dirk Proeckl and Dr. Engelbert Winkler to investigate the neuropsychological contexts of this phenomenon in more detail. They took the fact that the brain does not recognize a difference between imagination and real events in key functional areas, and therefore involved external light sources in their work from the very beginning. Eventually they managed to achieve the desired light effect using a combination of certain frequencies of pulsed light.

This is how the meditation lamp Lucia N°03 was created in the Tyrolean lowlands, in the midst of the Alpine landscape. Not as a production line product, but as a small-batch series from a manufactory in Kufstein, lovingly made. All components except some electronic parts are manufactured in Tyrol.

The development started with the near-death experience of Dr. Engelbert Winkler at the age of seven. This changed his life so much that later, as a psychotherapist, he endeavored to empower his clients with this overwhelmingly beautiful experience of light. For this he used a lamp with very bright light.

Then the neurologist Dr. Dirk Proeckl came and suggested combining the constant light with a flickering light. Margit Winkler-Raith found a technician who turned the ideas of the two developers into a working device. At that time with four LED light sources and two halogen light sources. We call this device "the coffee mashine" because Margit sacrificed her beloved coffee maker to create the case.
That was Lucia N°02, the coffee machine.

From then on, Margit took care of the further development of the flackering lamp. As a result, she found Jury Löcker, who with his team is still our partner for development and production to this day.

The manual control of the light sources has been switched to an electronic control. Thus, it was possible to control the parameters very precisely individually - according to the Lucia N°03 algorithm - and to save the light sequences (sessions). The team decided to use eight LED light sources and one halogen light source.
On 09.09.2009 the first five devices were ready. The patent has since been filed.
Lucia N°03 was born.

In April 2010 the extended team (Dr. Engelbert Winkler, Dr. Dirk Proeckl, Margit Winkler-Raith, Carola Zimmer, Martin Duschek, Mag. Sigrid Pearce) started in Geneva at the inventors fair. At first we received medals also in Nuremberg and were invited to Kuwait.

On 09.03.2011 we founded the light attendance gmbh based in Innsbruck. We continued to develop the Lucia N°03 Practitioner System meditation lamp and are globally represented and even market leader in this segment. After a few years, it was time to launch another device:

On 18.11.2018 we launched the meditation lamp Lucia N°03 Home Portal, which is ideal for singular use or for workshops and group experiences.

The world premiere of the "Stream Function" (controlling with one Lucia N°03 Practitioner System several Lucia N°03 Home Portals exactly synchronously) took place in England on 24/25 November 2018.
